Conscious Sedation

For those patients that have phobias and are extremely nervous about going to the Dentist, relax, as there is a solution. Sedation in the general term would involve taking certain prescribed medications prior to the appointment. These would be prescribed by the Dentist at an initial consultation visit. These tablets make you feel very relaxed and decrease the anxiety you experience at the appointment. These are not for the average person that is just a bit nervous, but specifically for people that otherwise would not manage a dental visit. You are not allowed to drive before, and after taking these tablets, therefore someone has to bring and fetch you.
